To create a custom chart or table, select your manuscript handling system. Then determine the type of chart you want to create in the Select Data Type section. This will be Variable 1. This will be what is displayed on your y-axis on your charts. Upload the correct csv file.
In the Choose Variables section, you will notice that Variable 1 is locked. To change variable one, go back to the Select Data Type portion of the screen and select a different variable. Variable 2 will be the data that is shown on the x-axis of your chart. Click on the drop down button to see the list of available variables and select the one that you want. Some common two variable charts are single line charts, simple bar charts, maps, donuts, bubble charts, as well as tables.
Variable 3 is optional. If you would like to add more detailed information to your chart, you can a variable from the drop down list for Variable 3. This variable will be shown in the legend of the chart and also as segments on the chart elements (i.e., segments of a bar chart). Some common three variable charts are multi-line charts, stacked bar charts, clustered column charts, wedges, scatter plot, as well as tables.
