There are two csv files used by Origin Reports. These files come from extraction reports that have previously been built by the user in ScholarOne Cognos or Editorial Manager's Enterprise Analytics Reporting (EAR). These extraction reports only need to be built once. Later, when up to date charts are needed, the user runs the extraction report to acquire an updated csv file.
NOTE: Since the user builds and names their extraction report and names their csv file, the names will vary.
Each user will need to build an extraction report for their journal. Get more information about creating your extraction report here:
The Submissions and Decisions csv file has 27 columns, though some of the columns might have only a header and no data. The easiest way to determine if the csv file is setup for submissions and decision charts is to look for headers that mention "Reviewer". Submissions and Decisions CSV files should not have any headers with the word reviewer.
Submissions and Decisions csv files can be used to create charts for the following data types:
The Editors and Reviewers csv file has 52 columns, though some of the columns might have only a header and no data. The easiest way to determine if the csv file is setup for editors and reviewers is to look for the following column headers (for both ScholarOne and Editorial Manager): Editor First Name, Editor Last Name, Reviewer First Name, Reviewer Last Name.
Editors and Reviewers csv files can be used only for Editor and Reviewer data type charts.
If your csv file does not appear to be working correctly, please "Send us a message" though the Help Center bot located in the lower righthand corner of the screen.
